VOTE FOR THE 2007 GRADUATION T-SHIRT DESIGNThe ballot is available on the Gateway from 4/9 through 4/17. The winning design will be printed on t-shirts that will be on sale at the Bookstore. The proceeds from the sale of the t-shirts will be donated to Garden Raised Urban Bounty in Olympia – this year’s Class Donation. The Graduation Planning Committee met to review the results of the balloting for guest speaker, class theme and class donation.A total of 335 students voted on-line. Thank you to everyone who voted! Guest SpeakerThe Planning Committee agreed to recommend Dr. Maxine Mimms to the President’s Office as this year’s keynote speaker. A formal invitation from the President has been sent to Dr. Mimms. We are happy to say that she has accepted. Class ThemeI have never let my schooling interfere with my education. ~Mark Twain ...was selected as the Class Theme. The theme is printed in the graduation program, designers may use it in their t-shirt design submissions, and the speakers may choose to use it to craft their speeches. Class DonationGarden Raised Bounty (GRUB) was selected to receive the Class Donation. The proceeds from the sale of the graduation announcements and graduation t-shirts provide the funding for the donation. |
