Thank You, Verizon

Five Native American students received $5,000 scholarships due to Verizon's generous support. John Gustafson (right), Verizon Northwest's external affairs director, presented a $25,000 check for Native American scholarships to Chris Meserve (left), chair of the Foundation Board, and Les Purce, president of Evergreen.

As tuition rates rise each year, financial assistance is becoming increasingly important in each student's decision to attend college. Scholarships, fellowships, and other aid helps Evergreen attract and retain talented students and gives students who lack the financial resources an opportunity to attend college.

Undergraduate Scholarships
A carefully structured scholarship reflects your values as a donor and offers real opportunity for students. Donors may make one-time or annual contributions and may fund a scholarship in perpetuity with an endowment gift of $25,000, creating opportunities for generations of students.

Graduate Fellowships
Fellowships are critical to the recruitment and retention of the best students in the country. Donors may make one-time or annual contributions and may fund a fellowship in perpetuity with an endowment gift of $50,000.

Activity Grants
Students are able to enrich their academic experience through sponsored research activity grants. Activity grants may support student theatrical productions; materials for science, art, video and film projects; and professional conference expenses when presenting research. Faculty may also apply for activity grants.
