Investment Policy

Since July 2002, The Evergreen State College Foundation has invested its endowment with the University of Washington's Consolidated Endowment Fund (UWCEF). The University of Washington Board of Regents sets investment policy for the UWCEF. Due to the number of fund managers with which the UWCEF works, it is difficult to monitor investments in specific companies. The UWCEF subcribes to the Investor Responsibility Research Center, does not invest in tobacco products and has approved participation in shareholder resolutions with respect to human rights in Burma and in the Sudan. In May 2002, the Foundation's Board of Governors approved an investment policy consistent with the goals and strategies of the University of Washington's investment policy.
