Faculty Support
"Evergreen at its best teaches critical thinking and group exploration of difficult, multi-dimensional issues. Colleges and universities that do this purposely and well are precious few in our country, let alone elsewhere, and they deserve every bit of help they can get."

At Evergreen the most powerful means of faculty development is participation in interdisciplinary, team-taught, year-long programs. In addition, summer institutes, sponsored research and sabbaticals enable faculty to exchange knowledge, keep abreast of changes in higher education, integrate tenchology and bring the fruits of their development into the classroom, providing life-changing experiences and knowledge to generations of students to come.
Summer Institutes
Summer institutes have proven to be a popular and effective method of faculty development. Topics for summer institues are based on instutitional priorities and faculty-initiated subjects.
