Tuition Support for Incarcerated Youth
Gifts to Gateways for Incarcerated Youth are made through The Evergreen State College Foundation.
$1,300: Sponsorship of the Gateways college seminar for 10 youth for one quarter
$250: Academic mentor program supplies for one quarter
$130: Subsidized tuition for one youth to earn college credits through the Gateways college seminar taught inside juvenile correctional institutions
$25: Educational supplies for one youth for one quarter
Continuous Program In-kind Needs
Regulations govern what we can accept, so contact us before you make a gift. The following items are often needed:
- Gift cards (office supplies and groceries)
- Golf pencils and non-spiral notebooks
- Laptops
- New USB drives and Blank CDs
- Transportation cards
Volunteer
Contact us about volunteer opportunities!
- Apply to be an academic mentor, especially for math
- Connect transitioning youth to vocational opportunities
- Host an event to raise awareness or funds
- Invite Gateways to speak to your group
- Organize a donation drive
