Key to Finding Your Course Reference Number

The Reference Number Lists on the left contain the Course Reference Numbers (CRNs) for programs and courses offered at Evergreen for a specific term. Choose the correct CRN for the class you want - paying careful attention to class levels and credit amounts. Check for any restrictions or approvals needed for registration. These lists are Adobe PDF files.

CRN: Stands for Course Reference Number. This number is specific to a program title and number of credits. This is the number you will need to input into the Evergreen Gateway to register for your choice.

Titles: Most titles are listed alphabetically. However, some may be listed in a different sequence due to unconventional naming. To quickly find your class, use the keys "Ctrl" and "F" together (Apple+F on Mac) to open a search window. If you do not see the class you want, call the Registration & Records Office at (360) 867-6180.

About Contracts and Internships: Individual Learning Contracts and Internships must be registered in the Registration and Records Office with the appropriate signatures and paperwork. The faculty sponsor numbers (Course Reference Numbers) for contracts and internships are listed on "Contract and Internship CRNs." If there is no number for a particular faculty, leave that space blank on the form.

Registration Requirement: If a faculty signature is required to register for a class, you will see that on the CRN list. If this says "None," you must still be within the eligible class level range, and must meet the class prerequisites (if any) listed in the catalog description. Always read class descriptions carefully, to see if the faculty list any prerequisites and/or expectations for students entering the class.

Eligible Levels: Indicates that only students in those class levels will be allowed into this program or course using this CRN. If you do not meet this requirement, but feel that you are well prepared for the class, you must speak with the faculty about getting special permission to register.
