How do I know what program to take?
Tools to help you answer this important question are:
- Academic Plan Worksheet (PDF) - Helps you reflect on your goals.
- Freshman Programs - Read descriptions of programs for Freshmen.
- Match your Field of Study to Evergreen's Fall 2008 - Spring 2009 academic programs
- Use the search feature in Evergreen's Fall 2008 - Spring 2009 full-time catalog
If you can, plan to attend Freshman Advising Day on May 9. There will be a lot of chances to ask questions and clarify your plans on that day, plus, on that afternoon, we'll help you register for your first Evergreen program! Remember, even though you will register for one program, you should pick several that are interesting to you.
When should I contact Academic Advising?
Contact Academic Advising as soon as you are admitted to the college. Prior to being admitted, work with an admissions counselor who can help you with the application process and initial advising.
How do I activate my account at my.evergreen.edu?
When you are admitted, you are given an online services account. Use this account to register, create evaluations, pay tuition, review financial information and manage your student email. It is necessary to activate this account by going to my.evergreen.edu. Your login will be:
Three letters from your last name, plus
Three letters from your first name, plus
the day of your birth (2 digits). For example, Elliott Treadman, born on April 14, 1981, will have the login - treell14.Your password will be day of birth (2 digits), plus month of birth (3 letters), plus year of birth (2 digits). So, for our example case, Elliott, his password is 14apr81.
How do I register?
Students register online, through my.evergreen.edu.

How do I know for sure that I'm registered?
Go to Student Registration Details on the Registration menu inside my.evergreen.edu. It will show all the details of your registration (including waitlist positions) by quarter.
What if my first choice program is full?
If a program has filled, the registration system will indicate how many students are already on the wait list. To be included on the wait list you must:
- Select "Waitlist" in the "Action" box
- Click Submit Changes again
If your second choice is also full, repeat the process. The system will notify you when you are officially registered in a program. Generally, students are very satisfied with their alternate choice, but you may contact Academic Advising to discuss your options.
How do waitlists work?
The best information on waitlists and how to manage them is contained in the IT Survival Guide, on a page called Waitlists: How to Manage Them.
What if I want to take an Evening & Weekend course in addition to my program?
At Evergreen, you can register for up to 20 credits. Over 16 credits is considered an overload, so we don't recommend this during your first quarter. Evening and Weekend courses can be a great idea later, as a supplement to your work in full-time programs.
What if I change my mind after I have registered?
You can make changes to your registration as long as online registration remains open (through the first week of class). But please be super careful! Once you drop yourself from a class (or waitlist) it may not be possible to get back in. Before changing anything, contact Registration and Records to discuss what you are considering. If you accidentally mess something up, call Registration right away at 360.867.6680 to ask for help.
When should I apply for Housing?
