Thanks to you, the fiscal year ending June 2014 was one of The Evergreen State College Foundation’s brightest years. You donated more during this period than almost any other year since our first year, 1976. Your generosity and our partnership with the University of Washington Consolidated Endowment Fund more than tripled our endowment over the last decade.

These successes, fueled by your donations, made a difference in the lives of our students and faculty. Read on to learn how your gifts impacted members of Evergreen’s close-knit community, from many individuals’ perspectives—students, faculty, alumni, emeritus faculty, and friends—as well as to understand that you are not alone in acting to make Evergreen excellent and affordable through your giving.

Your actions tell me that you believe in Evergreen—in our students, our faculty, and our staff. You believe in the difference an Evergreen education can make and our commitment to transformational learning experiences. You believe in the positive change our graduates make in the world.

I believe, too. I’ve enjoyed getting to know so many of Evergreen’s alumni, students, faculty, and friends. Now, I’m honored to lead Evergreen’s foundation.

Perhaps now more than ever, our students need friends like you and I to not 
just believe in them, but to take action. Together, we can ensure that they have the support they need to flourish in an increasingly complex world before and after graduation.
