Accept Your Financial Aid
Welcome to Financial Aid at Evergreen!
The Financial Aid staff at Evergreen welcomes you to the college and will make every effort to help you through the Financial Aid process.
Evergreen makes it easy to accept your Financial Aid offer. Just follow these steps to accept your offers of aid.
- View your Financial Aid Award Screen by signing into your my.evergreen account. Once you sign in, this link should take you directly to the Financial Aid Menu.
- To view your award information and accept or decline your awards, click on “My Award Information”.
- Choose “Award By Aid Year” and then choose 2010-2011 or 2011-2012.
- Please read the information on the “General Information” tab carefully, and progress through each tab before accepting your award offer.
- The “Award Overview” tab shows you how your overall need is calculated, your total cost of attendance, and a summary of the awards offered to you. You cannot accept or decline your awards on this tab.
- The Resources/Additional Information tab will list any outside scholarships or other resources you may be receiving.
- The "Terms and Conditions" tab lists information about each of the awards you have been offered. Please read all information on this tab carefully before accepting the terms and conditions. Accepting these terms and conditions does not mean you are accepting all of the awards offered to you.
- The "Accept Award Offer" screen shows the types and amounts of Financial Aid you have been offered. You can use the drop down menu under the “Accept Award” column to accept or decline the awards that are listed here, or you can use the “Accept Full Amount All Awards” button to accept everything you have been offered.
Please print a copy of your award screen for your records. - If you are accepting a Federal Direct Subsidized or Unsubsidized loan for the first time at Evergreen, you will need to complete Direct Loan Entrance Counseling and an Electronic Master Promissory Note:

You will sign in using the same PIN you used to complete the FAFSA. - If you have a Perkins Loan as part of your aid offer you will receive an email from SignMyLoan asking you to complete the Perkins Loan application process. Please make sure you complete the process through the link provided in the email from SignMyLoan if you plan to receive these funds. Due to a very small amount of funding, not all students are offered Perkins Loans so don’t be alarmed if you do not see a Perkins Loan offer on your award screen.

1. What do I do if I haven't activated my my.evergreen account?
When you are admitted, you are given an online services account. Use this account to register, create evaluations, pay tuition, review financial information and manage your student email. It is necessary to activate this account by going to my.evergreen.edu. Your login will be:
Three letters from your last name, plus
Three letters from your first name, plus
the day of your birth (2 digits). For example, Elliott Treadman, born on April 14, 1981, will have the login - treell14.
Your password will be day of birth (2 digits), plus month of birth (3 letters), plus year of birth (2 digits). So, for our example case, Elliott, his password is 14apr81.

2. I need an actual award letter for off-campus housing, scholarships or other "official" business. How can I request this?
We will be glad to print you an actual award letter. Use the contact information below to let us know. We will need your name and student ID (your A number).
3. Do I have a certain amount of time to accept my awards before they are cancelled?
You have 45 days from the date you receive the offers to accept the grants that have been offered to you. Accepting your grants does not commit you to attending Evergreen. Your grants, with the exception of the Pell Grant, will be cancelled if you do not accept them within 45 days and there is no guarantee that we will be able to replace these awards.
4. What happens if I decline my awards now and then decide to attend Evergreen later?
If you decline your awards now you may not be able to recover these awards at a later time. You will be reviewed for award eligibility at the time you notify us of your decision to accept your awards; however, our office will only be able to award you the funds that are available at that time.

7. How do I get to the home page of the Financial Aid site?
You can get to the Financial Aid home page from any page on the Financial Aid website by clicking the large green Financial Aid on the top left of the page.
