Enrollment and Financial Aid
Question: I reported on the FAFSA that I intend to enroll half time for the academic year. Is there anything I should communicate directly to my financial aid office?
Answer: YES. Even if you said that you would be a part-time student on the FAFSA form, the initial offer you get from us will let you know how much aid you are eligible for if you enroll full time. If you are an undergraduate student and you wish to attend for fewer than 12 credits in a term, you should let us know directly so that we can revise your financial aid budget. At less than full time, your aid amounts may or may not need to be revised. At any rate, if you are an undergraduate student registered for between 6 and 11 credits in a term, or a graduate student enrolled less than fulltime, you must tell us in order to receive your funds.
Please be aware that some types of aid cannot be prorated for less than full time attendance. For example, if you have been awarded a State Tuition Waiver and you enroll for only 8 credits, the waiver will be cancelled for the term.
Are you unsure of your financial aid enrollment status?
Please use the Change of Information form to tell us about changes to your enrollment plans.
