Visiting Faculty Position
Adjunct Faculty Positions in our Evening & Weekend Curriculum
The Evergreen State College seeks to create pools of part-time instructors able to teach courses on the Olympia campus in evenings or on weekends during the next two academic years. Courses in our curriculum are typically 2, 4, or 6 quarter hours. The part-time work involved will range from 0% to 50% of full-time on a quarter-to-quarter basis. Specific areas of interest to the college include the following:
- Introductory Biology,
- Mathematics (college algebra, calculus and statistics),
- Economics, Accounting, or related disciplines,
- Introductory Psychology.
- Master's degree.
- College-level teaching or professional training experience.
- Experience working with diverse groups of students.
- Willingness to use exploratory, cooperative approaches to teaching and learning.
- Commitment to serving populations which are typically underserved in higher education settings.
- A terminal degree.
- Experience teaching collaboratively in an interdisciplinary setting.

These are adjunct faculty positions and are not eligible for continuing appointment. All requirements for these positions must be completed by August 2012. Salary for all positions is based on experience and degrees. We do not offer relocation expenses for our adjunct faculty positions.
