driver requirements and
1. Demonstrate an understanding of the appropirate Motor Pool Policies
and Procedures by successfully completing a quiz.
a. View the Fleet
Motor Pool Policy slideshow (rental vans used for field trips, conferences,
etc.) Print the quiz before viewing
the slide show. You can also print out a copy of the Motor
Pool Policies and Procedures.
b. View the Permanently Assigned Vehicle Policy slideshow (vehicles used by various departments
on campus, i.e. grounds, lab, mail, farm, police services, shops). Use
your left mouse clip to advance through the slide show. Print the quiz
before viewing the slide show.
2. Drivers of 15-passenger vans must view the 15-Passenger Van Driver
Improvement Course video and successfully pass the exam (or, in selected
cases, read the OFM 15-Passanger
Van Drivers Basic Loss Prevention Guide and pass the quiz).
You must come down to the Motor Pool office to view the Van Driver
Training video. The video takes approximately 40 minutes to view. There
are only two computer stations set up to view the video so it is a good
idea to call the motor pool office at 867-6354 and make an appointment.
Up to three people can view the video at the same time at one station.
3. Drivers of large trucks, vans, and delivery vehicles must view
the Wumbus training video and successfully pass that exam.
You may view the video on-line or at the Motor Pool office. To view
the video on-line, contact the Motor Pool Coordinator at 867-6354 for
access information.
4. Take the completed Policy quiz, the Valid
License to Drive and Driving Experience form and your driver's license
to the Motor Pool Coordinator. If the driver will be operating a 15-passengar
van, he/she must also read and sign the 15-Passanger
Van Driver Safe Driving Practices form.
