This unit is responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of mechanical systems on campus. Below are the groups within this unit and their function. To ensure that work is tracked properly and services rendered by the appropriate staff, work requests should be submitted to the work order center.

Central Utility Plant

Mechanics maintain the central boilers, chillers, domestic potable water, and compressed air for the campus. Select this link for more information about the CUP.

Electrical Systems

Electricians work on the high voltage distribution system, motor control centers, building electrical systems, panels, breakers, switches, receptacles, indoor and outdoor lighting, parkway lighting and maintain, test and repair the fire alarm system, and other related functions.

Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC)

Control technicians and maintenance mechanics maintain the supply and exhaust fans, pumps, motors, scheduling temperature control, hot and cold air issues, leaks, controls and related functions.

Plumbing Systems

Building plumbing systems, swimming pools, drinking fountains, sinks, toilets, urinals, hot and cold water issues, water pressure issues, etc.
