Director of Facilities
Paul Smith is the Director of Facilities Services and has been in facilities management for eighteen and a half years. He came to Evergreen from the Pima County Community College district in Arizona where he was employed from 1991 through 2005. Before becoming the Director of Facilities Services at Evergreen he was the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Administrative Services and Facilities at Pima.
Paul has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arizona and a Masters of Science in Administration from Georgia College.
The Director along with the facilities services staff support the College mission by following the highest of standards for responsible social, fiscal and environmental stewardship. The department's guiding principles are to:
- Foster a safe and healthy campus environment, conducive to the learning process.
- Develop and maintain attractive, functional, and efficient facilities.
- Anticipate and meet the needs of the Evergreen community.
- To build a better Evergreen for the students, academic, and administrative communities as well as the people of the State of Washington.
