The Daniel J. Evans library building remodel is a preservation and life safety renovation project. Structural, mechanical and HVAC system and program space improvements will be made to the building. There will be minimal changes to the exterior.

Renovation of the 360,000 square foot building has been broken down into two phases. Phase I encompasses the B & C wings and is underway this biennium (03-05). Improvements will be made to the library, computer, media, photo areas and the building infrastructure (seismic, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, etc.).

Funds are being requested in the 05-07 capital budget to complete the second phase of the renovation. This will improve administration offices, classrooms, fourth floor, lobbies & infrastructure.
