Join the campus community in person or online for this timely program moderated by Jose Gomez, Member of the Faculty.  As a prominent issue on the ballot in Washington State in November,marriage equality is an especially compelling topic for debate this month.This format provides an opportunity to listen closely to and ask questions about the proposed public policy and other issues surrounding this complex and sometimes divisive issue. Learn more about the issues and Referendum 74 by reading the Secretary of State’s online Voter Guide.  If you can’tjoin in person, consider watching the program live online from our Center for Creative and Applied Media (CCAM).

About the Series
This debate is sponsored with support from The Cal  Anderson Memorial Lecture Series,
a forum to capture the spirit of reasoned discussion of public policies and ideas that
marked Cal Anderson's career in the Washington State House of Representatives and
Senate. By  establishing a permanent lecutre series in his memory, The Evergreen State
College seeks to encourage open-minded, responsible examination of issues that are
important to us all. The lecture series is funded from an endowment held by
The Evergreen State College Foundation.
