Tuition Waivers

Free Tuition! Apply for the 4-credit tuition waiver.

To ease the transition to college, The Evergreen State College offers tuition waivers for students in Evening and Weekend Studies.   The award is the equivalent of 4 credits of undergraduate, resident tuition. Priority is given to students who are new to Evergreen and to those students registered in either an 8 or 12-credit interdisciplinary program, or an Entry Points course.

Applicant Criteria for Fall Quarter 2008

  • Applicants may receive only one Evening and Weekend Studies Tuition Waiver while at Evergreen
  • Only students who are not receiving other financial aid may apply
  • Applicants must be registered or on a waitlist for at least one undergraduate Evening and Weekend Studies class by the due date
  • Application due date is 5:00 pm on September 12th, 2008

    Application Checklist

    • your legal name and student ID number or date of birth
    • mailing address and daytime phone number or email address
    • one-page essay, (300 words) explaining your goals and interest in Evergreen's Evening and Weekend Studies and how this tuition waiver will assist you

    Mail, fax, email, or hand deliver your application to Abby Kelso  by 5:00 p.m. on September 12, 2008 to be considered.   Beginning September 17th we will let you know the status of your application.
