SPECIAL NOTE

There is currently one full-time, overtime-eligible Program Assistant position available in Registration and Records, and one full-time, overtime-eligible Program Coordinator position available in Academic Advising at The Evergreen State College. The candidate pool established from this announcement may be used to fill comparable permanent, full-time, part-time and temporary vacancies for the next six months to one year.

COMPENSATION

·   Experience and training may be considered in salary placement..

·   After completion of the probationary period, employees are eligible for the tuition waiver program.

 

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

·   As a condition of employment, persons hired must provide proof of identity and employment eligibility within three (3) days of beginning work, and persons may be required to submit to a background check.

·   This position is assigned to part of the institution that is covered by a union shop provision of the Department of Personnel/Higher Education Division. Therefore, new employees are required to pay dues to the Federation of State Employees within thirty (30) days of their hiring date.

 

PROGRAM ASSISTANT - TRANSCRIPTS

 
GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Under the general supervision of the Registrar, organize and coordinate the work of the Transcript Office functions by maintaining, retrieving and processing student academic records to requesting individuals and agencies, using FERPA policies governing the confidentiality of student records. Collaborate with other staff to support the program functions, which include the retrieval of particular student records, the creation of official transcripts, typing, proofreading, validation and disbursement of official transcripts. Interpret and explain Transcript Program specific policies to staff, faculty, students and members of the public who require information related to the production and acquisition of official transcripts and other related college records.

 

COMPENSATION

·   Salary Range 32 - $2,169 to $2,799 per month for full-time work.

 

PROGRAM COORDINATOR – ACADEMIC ADVISING

 
GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The incumbent will provide support and information to students and staff advisors and will have the responsibility to: coordinate a welcoming and accurate intake system including intake training, daily oversight and back up; coordinate the compilation and dissemination of updated and accurate curriculum and internship opportunity information for advisors, students, faculty and staff; coordinate and maintain office information systems including web page, internship database, internship publicity, filing systems, and other critical organizational tools; keep statistics; create reports; manage and provide information as needed; support staff in the use of office information systems.

 

COMPENSATION

·   Salary Range 37 - $2,433 to $3,150 per month for full-time work.
