The mission of the President’s Diversity Fund for Equity and Social Justice is to reinforce an inclusive college climate and encourage more equitable institutional practices. We do this by providing support for programs and activities that educate the Evergreen community about diversity and equity, work that:

  • Raises awareness about issues of individual and institutional oppression and discrimination
  • Promotes strategies to increase equity in our personal relationships, community affairs, and institutional operations
  • Provides opportunities for faculty, staff and students to develop the understanding, knowledge, ability to function well as a multicultural learning community.

For the 2015-16 academic year $15,000 is available for grants over $200. An additional $5,000 is available for grants $200 or less.

The 2015-16 President's Diversity Fund Committee is comprised of students, faculty, staff, and alumni of the College.  Our current committee members include Bentse Bianbaciren, Felix Braffith, Lawrence Cordier, Phyllis Esposito, Gary Wessels-Galbreath, Jake Hurner, Stefanie Brennan, and Zhang Er.
