Program Budgets

Program Budget Request Forms for 2012-13 are now available online.

The forms are:

  1. Program Budget Request Form (Word)
  2. Student Help Request Form (Word)
  3. Lab Request Form (Word)
  4. SASS Services For Faculty (Word)

You can either download the forms, fill them out, and send them via email, or you can print the forms, fill them out, and send them via campus mail.  Each form will have instructions. Budget requests are due May 18, 2012 for the Academic Year 2012-13.

Program coordinators are responsible for submitting budget requests for their academic program.  Faculty who are planning courses or who are offering contracts, SOS, or Undergraduate Research curriculum need not request budgets.  Allen Olson will follow up with an email to EWS faculty with instructions regarding courses and budgetary support.

In order to provide you with the same amount of information as in the past, but without the printing of paper, we are providing a grid Budget Pack Check List of possible forms that you may want to utilize. Each form will have instructions on where the form should be directed.  It will be up to you to fill out the correct forms and send them to the appropriate recipient.

  • When planning your budget request, please be mindful that the academic program budgets have been reduced.  This means less money for guest speakers, field trips, materials, photocopies, etc.
  • Student worker positions are also reduced, as is staff support, so please take this into account as you plan your programs.
  • If you find you have equipment needs for 2012-13, contact the proper area manager so they can be considered during the Capital Equipment prioritization process.  Keep in mind that the Capital Equipment budget is greatly reduced.
  • If you plan program activities or an event that involves ticket sales or taking in revenue, please contact Shannon Stewart at x5896. Shannon can also field questions regarding possible restrictions in Com schedules due to remodeling.
  • If you have questions regarding the use and reproduction of copyrighted material,  visit the Library’s Copyright web page or contact:

    • Audio and video recordings - Jane Fisher, Sound and Image Library, x6087
    • Computer software - Rip Heminway, Academic Computing, x6904

Please complete the appropriate forms and submit them by Friday, May 18, 2012.  If you have questions feel free to contact either Ken Tabbutt, Dean of Academic Budget and Space, or Sherri Willoughby, Program Coordinator.
