Although my list of assignments is somewhat broad, the focus and ultimate goal of my work is to help transform first-year students into successful continuing students. I intend to accomplish this (with maximal good humor and minimal mayhem) by collaborating with faculty, Student Affairs staff, and other points of contact and support on campus. I see students, particularly first-years, as the reason for my presence on campus. I will use my position as Dean to facilitate their academic growth, sense of belonging, and continuity as Evergreen students.
