Welcome to the Cooper Point Journal, Evergreen's weekly student newspaper

2007-08 graduation

What is the Cooper Point Journal?

The Cooper Point Journal is a weekly student newspaper and student group that exists to provide students of The Evergreen State College with a venue for expressing themselves.

You don't have to be a member of the newspaper to contribute articles, photographs or anything else to the CPJ, all you have to do is get in contact with us about the type of content you'd like to send in.

Stop by our office, CAB 316, call 360.867.6213 or email cpj@evergreen.edu to find out more about contributing to the CPJ. You can also visit the Submissions page for more details.

We have a number of weekly meetings, and you are welcome at all of them! Mondays: 5 p.m., content planning meeting and discussion on weekly duties of the CPJ organization. Wednesday's: 1-3 p.m., Focus On Journalism.

Thursdays: 4:45 p.m., post-mortem, a critique of latest issue of the CPJ and story idea brainstorm/assignment meeting.
Fridays: noon-2 p.m. Brown Bag Forum: a discussion on the CPJ and journalism.

To learn about our guiding policies, see our governing document, Operations & Ethics, as well as our mission statement and goals & objectives.

The Cooper Point Journal will be closed for the summer.

Students will be returning to the office on September 2 to produce the orientatation week issue of the CPJ.
