Frequently Asked Questions
Can I take a tour of the Center?
Yes, of course! If you give our director, Casey, a call, she would be happy to schedule one with you.
Do you offer part-time care?
Our Center is open 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. You are welcome to use the Center as much or as little as you like during these hours. However, everyone pays for full-time care.
How will I be kept appraised of my position on the waitlist?
About once a quarter you will receive a update via email or phone concerning your position on the waitlist. However, if you have a question at any time, please feel free to call the Center with your questions.
If I place my child on the waitlist, and they have a birthday before they are able to enroll, what will happen?
We make sure to regularly check the birthdays of the children on our waitlist and make sure they are on the proper list for their age, moving them if necessary.
Can my child bring their own food?
Absolutely! As a center we participate in the USDA food program and serve breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack each day. If you do choose to bring your own food it needs to follow the state food guidelines for nutrition.
My child is still breastfeeding, is that okay?
Absolutely! We encourage parents to do what is best for their family. We have many cozy places for mothers to nurse in our center and our staff is knowledgeable about the storage of and regulations surrounding pumped breast milk.
What is your medication policy?
We are able to administer over the counter medication provided by parents and prescription medication (with a valid prescription) as needed. We have a medication authorization form (found on our forms page) which you would fill out and bring in with the medication.
What sort of clothing should my child have at the Center?
We recommend that you keep at least one spare set of clothing to include pants, shirt, sweater, socks and underwear in your child's cubby.
How are parents notified of closures?
Generally, when campus is closed, the Center will be closed. You can sign up to be notified of emergency situations at www.evergreen.edu/emergencypreparedness.
My child is in kindergarten. Can s/he attend the Center?
Unfortunately at this time we are unable to accomodate school age children in our center.
