Center for Ecological Living and LearningThe Evergreen State College Center for Ecological Living and Learning(CELL), provides students and the broader community with experiential opportunities, linking theory to practice through the development of evolving models of ecological agriculture practices, ecological design, and holistic living in the Pacific Northwest Bioregion.
The CELL encourages individuals to see the environmental and social implications of their living habits, while demonstrating ecologically sound ways of living and building community. Currently, the CELL is comprised of seven complementary components; the Organic Farm, the Farmhouse, the Compost Facility, the Community Gardens, Demeter’s Garden, the Biodiesel Facility and the CELL meeting. The CELL promotes an ever-expanding understanding of humanity’s intimate connection with all life on this planet.
