This course is a continuation of the exploration into modern mixing and sound/music production. Students will continue to learn Pro Tools by diving deeper into the technical and creative processes of mixing across different music genres. Students will also explore mixing techniques that encourage the development of personal sound aesthetics.

Projects will continue to include music while expanding into other forms of sound reproduction like soundscapes and podcasting. Students can choose to use this final sequence as a culminating experience to work on assigned projects or producing personal works.

This course is taught using Canvas for online lectures and demonstrations, Pro Tools for mixing, and listening exercises using various streaming platforms. By the end of the course, students will have an advanced understanding of sound manipulation to produce and complete mixes that meet commercial audio production standards. This is the third of three courses in the Audio Fundamental and Mixing Techniques Certificate.
