Faculty: Mukti Khanna psychology
Faculty Signature Required: Interested students who have a project in mind need to draft an Independent Learning Contract or Internship Agreement and make an appointment to meet with the faculty member to discuss their plans before the spring Academic Fair, March 3, 2010. Students should bring their draft contract or internship agreement and a portfolio of sample work to the appointment, including faculty and self evaluations from earlier Evergreen programs. Major areas of study include psychology, health, counseling, and social and human services.
Class Standing: Sophomores or above; transfer students welcome.
Individual Study: Psychology allows opportunities for students to create their own course of study in the form of an Individual Learning Contract or Internship. Working with the faculty sponsor, individual students or small groups of students design projects or internships and meet regularly with faculty to reflect on their work. Students wishing to pursue study of topics in psychology, counseling and health are invited to discuss their ideas for a contract or internship with Mukti Khanna.
Credits: 16 per quarter
Enrollment: 25
Internship Possibilities: With faculty approval.
Special Expenses: May vary depending on student projects.
Program is preparatory for careers and future studies in psychology, the health professions, human services and education.
