Assessments
Career Development offers the Campbell Interest and Skill Survey (CISS), Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, CareerPath, Washington Occupational Information System (WOIS), and a variety of other self assessment tools and resources.
Career Resource Library
Our 6,000+ volume library contains resources pertaining to career exploration, graduate school, graduate admissions testing, employer profiles, job search strategies, financial assistance information for graduate study, and work and study abroad information.
Graduate and Professional School Entrance Exam Information
Our center also supplies information bulletins on various admission tests such as: Graduate Record Exam (GRE), Law School Admission Test (LSAT), Medical College Admission Test (MCAT), Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine Application Service (AACOMAS), Miller Analogies Test and American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS), just to name a few.
GRE and LSAT Computerized Practice Exams
Our center offers free computerized practice exams available during Career Center hours of operation. Limited scheduling is available so please contact the Career Center (360) 867-6193 to schedule your test.
Part-Time/Evening Counselor
A counselor is available during evening hours weekdays to assist students and alumni. Services relating to re-careering, graduate school, resume, job search and career counseling are available.
Placement Reports and Alumni Connections
We also track the activities of our alumni to produce a placement report. In addition, alumni are solicited to participate in our Alumni Career Educator Files (ACE) to provide information regarding their professions, graduate school experiences, study abroad, and potential employment opportunities. This is an excellent Greener to Greener mentor program.
Groups and Workshops
Job Club
A focused job search group for students and alumni ready for employment. Participants set goals, share information and ideas, sharpen their skills and develop successful job search methods during these weekly meetings.
Specialized Workshops & Services
We offer workshops for Resume Writing, Job Search Strategies, and Portfolio Development. In addition, Career Development hosts the annual Combined Graduate School Fair in October and co-hosts the Career Fair in March with Saint Martin's College. We also specialize in mock interviews and interview preparation.
