Olympia, WA - Senior Kate Green factored in both goals in her final home game as The Evergreen State College won its third consecutive women's soccer match, 2-0 over visiting Northwest Christian University on Saturday.
Evergreen (4-6, 5-10-1) finishes league play just outside of a Cascade Collegiate Conference playoff berth.
The Geoducks have one match remaining, in British Columbia on Monday against non-conference opponent Simon Fraser University.
Green assisted on freshman Briana Speed's fifth goal of the season in the 22nd minute, then scored herself on a powerful 35-yard direct kick that soared over the head of Beacon goalkeeper Katelyn Nistler in the 60th minute.
Green's goal was her team-leading ninth of the season.
Evergreen's sophomore goalkeeper Sonya Daisley-Harrison recorded her fourth shutout of the season with five saves, including stopping a penalty kick by Samantha Stewart of NCU (2-7, 5-12) in the 70th minute.
