Ashland, OR - Katie Griffith's goal in the second overtime gave Southern Oregon a 1-0 victory over the Geoducks today at University Field in Ashland. For Evergreen, the game played out similar to their game with Eastern Oregon in late September.

Evergreen slips to 9th in the conference with a 1-5 CCC and 2-9-1 overall record. The victory improved the Raiders to 5-7 overall and 3-1 in Cascade Conference play.

SOU controlled the action throughout the matchup played under cold and windy conditions. As a team, they finished with 32 shots and 18 shots on goal. But it wasn't until the second overtime that one finally made it in the goal.

Following a corner kick by SOU's Kelly Cates, the Raiders kept the ball alive and Auika Muragin kicked it out to Griffith who buried the shot from seven yards out at the 103:27 mark in the match.

Griffith, Muragin, Chelsie O'Neill, Stefani Vert, Denise Powell and Chennin Young all finished with two shots on goal for the Raiders, while Chelsey Muri led the team with three shots on goal.

Freshman goalkeeper Jessica Kuehlwien had six saves on the day.

Evergreen's Sonya Daisley-Harrison saved 17 of SOU's 18 shots on goal. Brianna Speed, Emily Anderson and Kate Green each had a shot on goal.

The Geoducks play Oregon Tech in Klamath Falls tomorrow.
