OLYMPIA, WA - The Geoducks Monica Ragan (Fr, Boise, ID) scored the game winning goal in the seventy-fifth minute in Evergreen's 1-0 victory over Oregon Tech today.

It was the third goal in two games for Ragan who now moves to the Evergreen top-10 all time lists in goals scored in a game (2 vs SOU) and points in a game (4 pts vs SOU). Additionally she shares the title of most goals in a game by a freshman with teammate Marissa Major (vs WPC '05).

In contrast with Friday's game with SOU, today's game with OIT was very physical with a number of players on both sides completing the game with battle wounds.

Evergreen outshot OIT 13 - 7 but both teams were well matched in shots on goal. Evergreen having 4 and OIT with 3. Credit strong defensive play by both teams for the low number of shots on goal.

Ragan's goal was the end result of an excellent cross pass by Madeleine Tuson-Turner to the center of the field. A quick dribble to the right of her defender and Ragan's shot found net from 20 yards out. Tuson-Turner was credited with her first assist of the season.

Evergreen is on the road October 4th in Salem, OR in a 4 PM game with Corban College.
