Evergreen makes Concordia work for their win

Concordia's Stephanie Solarek scored an unassisted goal at 62:07 of the second half as Concordia edged Evergreen 1-0 in the first round of the NAIA Region 1 Tournament on CU's home field.
The game marks the end of the season for Evergreen Women's Soccer.
Evergreen went into the game without forward Alice Dietz, who had to sit out of the game due to a red card in last weeks match with Concordia. Dietz has been Evergreen's leading scorer.
The Cavaliers dominated the game statistics, recording 14 shots to 2 for Evergreen, and had an 11-2 advantage in shots on goal. Concordia had five corner kicks to one for Evergreen.
Jenine Adam played well for Evergreen, taking both of Evergreen's only shot attempts. One must give keeper Carly Stewart praise in keeping the ball out of Evergreen's net. She recorded 10 saves during the game.
It was a season that Evergreen can walk away from standing tall. They came together in the end with the help of coaches Luise Frank and John Purtteman.
The Cavaliers improved to 18-1-1 overall, while Evergreen's season ended with an 8-13 mark. Concordia faces Carroll College next in the final to determine who advances to the National Tournament.
