LA GRANDE, Ore. -- The Eastern Oregon Mountaineers battled Evergreen to a 1-1 tie in a driving wind Friday in La Grande, Oregon. The Geoducks got on the board in the third minute when Alice Fox-Dietz took a Jenine Adam pass and ripped a shot past Mountaineer goalkeeper Sarah Androlewicz.

But Evergreen grew complacent with the lead and allowed Eastern back into the match in the 32nd minute. Midfielder Tara Moran took a Kristen Rice cross and beat Evergreen goalkeeper Carly Stewart from 15 yards.

It appeared Evergreen would get the game-winner in the first overtime when Kate Green and Alisha White broke down the Eastern defense. White fired a 20-yard shot past Mountaineer keeper Maeve Johnson but saw her blast catch iron and ricochet back into the field of play.

Evergreen out-shot Eastern 17-13 and had a 5-0 advantage in corners on the day. Eastern was called for 24 fouls to Evergreen's six.

The tie keeps Evergreen undefeated with a 9-0-4 record. Eastern moves to 4-9-2 on the year.
