PORTLAND, OR -- The Geoduck women soccer team continued their winning ways this Saturday when they hung five goals on the Cascade College Thunderbirds to move to 6-2-1 in Cascade Collegiate Conference play.

Evergreen got on the board in the second minute when Alisha White scored the first of her three goals on the day. The hat trick is the second for White this season as she also recorded three goals against Albertson College on September 24th. With the outburst, White moves into first place in scoring against conference teams with 11.

Defender Meg McNealy recorded her second goal of the season and freshman midfielder Maeve Dempsey scored the first goal of her collegiate career off of a Brea Gagne corner kick. Geoduck keepers Carly Stewart and Andrea Denton combined for the shutout.

Evergreen can secure a berth in the conference tournament with a win Friday at Eastern Oregon University. The Mountaineers, currently the third place team in the North Division behind Evergreen, lost earlier in the season to the Geoducks 2-1 in overtime.
