Austin, TX - Elizabeth Lieberknecht, a senior at Westlake High School, has signed a Letter of Intent to play soccer next year at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington.

A member of the National Honor Society and scheduled to graduate under the Distinguished Graduation Plan, Elizabeth will focus on Environmental Studies while at Evergreen, recognized by Newsweek Magazine as one of the top environmental colleges in the United States.

"Elizabeth brings a competitive attitude and the desire to win," remarked Arlene McMahon, Evergreen head women's soccer coach. "Her ability to create offensive attacks from her outside position will greatly enhance Evergreen's overall playing ability."

Currently Elizabeth is playing for the Lake Travis Elite Soccer Club as a mid-fielder.

An NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) affiliated school, Evergreen participates as a member of the nine team Cascade Conference. In her six season, coach McMahon team was ranked as high as fifth in Region I for three consecutive weeks during the 2002 season.
