October 5, 2001 PORTLAND, OR -- Evergreen struggled for the second game in a row to put up an offensive attack. The Geoducks (4-7-1, 3-4) didn't get any offense going until late in the game when the outcome was already decided. Concordia (8-2, 5-0) showed why they are leading the Cascade Conference, a balanced attack, and tough defense made it difficult for the Geoducks to get anything going. Evergreen played on their heels all day, as the Cavaliers fired off 42 shots in the game. The constant attack from Concordia forced the Geoducks to play more defense than they wanted to. Evergreen did get on the board late in the game with an unassisted goal from Marya Danzer (Tenino, Wash./ Tenino HS), but the goal was too little too late. Evergreen only managed to shoot four shots in the game. The Geoducks will have a couple of days off before they head to southern Oregon for two games next weekend. Evergreen will play Southern Oregon University on Friday and Oregon Tech on Saturday. Game times are 2:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. respectively.
