Evergreen women's victory hopes shot down by poor field goal %
OLYMPIA, Wash. -- One night after one of its most inspiring victories of the season, The Evergreen State College women's basketball team shot a season low 22.6% from the field and was outlasted by Oregon Tech, 51-39, on Saturday night at the Greenhouse.
Tech had as much as a 13-point lead in the first half, but thanks to a rally led by Tana Palmason's trio of three-point baskets, Evergreen cut the Owls' edge to five by intermission. During the second times, Evergreen three times had the ball down 28-27 with a chance to take the lead but from that point the roof fell in as the Geoducks shot an even lower percentage in the second half than the first.
Morgan Hofman led Oregon Tech (11-9, 4-4 CCC) with 16 points while Kellie Morey had 12. Evergreen (6-12, 2-5) was paced by 12 each from Palmason and Latrina Woods.
