71-52 Loss for Evergreen to #15 Concordia at Home

Olympia, WA - The team as a whole seemed off tonight as the Cavaliers rolled over the Geoducks with a score of 71-52 tonight at the Greenhouse.

With the help of Ann Snodderly's 15 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks Concordia defeated Evergreen 71-52 in Cascade Collegiate Conference play.

With the win, No. 15 Concordia improved to 19-2 on the season and 12-1 in the CCC.

Evergreen falls to 8th in the Conference with a 4-9 CCC record and 9-11 overall. The Geoducks need to stay in the top 8 to make it to the first round of the CCC playoffs.

Connecting on 7-of-10 from the field, Snodderly posted a game-high 15 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double while Rebecca Gimeno had 14 and Angela Gimeno scored 12.

For Evergreen, Katie Garcin led with 15 points. Brittney Knotts had 11. Usual high scorer for ESC Kristi Auckland was held to just 3 points.

Concordia opened up an 11-point lead by taking a 38-27 lead at the half and outscored Evergreen by eight in the second period for the 19-point win. Concordia shot 44.3 percent from the floor to the Geoducks' to 32.6 percent for the game.

Evergreen registered just 15 field goals in the contest including just six in the second half after being held to 6-of-19 shooting.

Tomorrow night ESC hosts another 4-9 CCC team, Corban College, at 5:30 PM.
