Associate women's basketball coach earns UW degree

Olympia, WA - Mychael Heuer, women's basketball associate head coach and career development facilitator at Evergreen, graduated from the University of Washington with a masters degree in Intercollegiate Athletic Leadership.
Evergreen graduate Pam Charpentier (2006), currently the Athletic Director at South Puget Sound Community College, also walked with Heuer.
Heuer and Charpentier were among the first ever graduating class representing the newest of master's programs at UW. The unique program created enthusiam among potential students across the country when announced, making Heuer's and Charpentier acceptance into the IAL program an accomplishment in itself.
IAL is designed to teach students the leadership and business skills they would need to hold leadership and administrative positions in higher education, or within an athletics department. The program links with faculty members of all schools within the University and administrators from the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.
Heuer has coached at Evergreen for the past six years with his wife Monica (7 years). Together they have coached Evergreen teams to three Cascade Conference playoffs.
