Dordt sinks Evergreen 62-56 with a late game surge

December 28, 2007

OLYMPIA, Wash. - Visiting Dordt College (Sioux City, IA) defeated Evergreen 62-56 tonight in a league but non-conference game in Olympia.

Led by Kate Du Mez's 22 points and 7 rebounds, the Dordt Defenders overcame a three point deficit at the end of the first period to pull away for the win.

Evergreen falls to 2-10 overall this season. Dordt improved to a 4-6 record and will play Cascade Conference member Northwest University in Kirkland tomorrow.

The Geoducks return to confernce ball games next Friday and Saturday when they host Cascade College and Warner Pacific College in respective 5:30 PM games.
