OLYMPIA, Wash. - Before returning to conference play on Tuesday, Evergreen lost to NCAA Division II Western Oregon University 68-54 tonight in a non-league game. The Wolves Vanessa Wyffels pummeled the Geoducks in the second half, scoring 19 points and a game total of 23.

With just two of the usual five starters in the game tonight, Evergreen was missing two of their tallest players who are also the second and third best scorers on the team.

While three Evergreen players were in the double digits in scoring, the Geoducks made just thirty percent of their field goal attempts while the Wolves hit half of theirs.

5'9" Junior Leah Bradley (South Kitsap HS) scored a season high 14 points and 7 rebounds for Evergreen. Jennifer Solberg (Sr. Franklin Pierce HS) hit her fourth double-double of the year despite shooting 0-7 from three point range. Solberg made 6 of 6 free throw attempts, brought in 11 rebounds and totaled 10 points. Freshman guard Angel Stewart (Davis HS) scored a college career high of 11 points and six rebounds.

Wyffels, a 5' 10" senior hit 11 of 13 shots and added 6 rebounds to help her team's record improve to 3-3. Evergreen drops to 2-8 overall this season.

Also for the Wolves, Leada Berkey hit 2-2 from three point range, pulled in 7 rebounds and totaled 19 points.

Evergreen resumes Cascade Conference play Tuesday when they travel to Ashland, Oregon in a game with Southern Oregon University (6-2). They'll then head to Klamath Falls to meet Oregon Tech. (7-3).
