Cascade Conference Basketball All-Academics named

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Cascade Collegiate Conference announced the 2007- 08 Basketball season All-Academic performers this week. Evergreen's Jennifer Solberg (Sr. Franklin Pierce HS) is among the 33 recognized players.

To be considered for the scholar-athlete award, the student must earn a cumulative 3.5 GPA or equivalent, be of sophomore standing and have participated in at least 50% of his/her team's contests.

The honor capped off a great season for Solberg. She was named conference Player of the Week twice during the season, was the leagues 2nd best rebounder and ranked 7th in scoring.

Solberg also topped many categories on Evergreen's all-time stats lists, which include the school record for double doubles in a season (13 total) and a top spot on the career best rebounds list.

Solberg will graduate this spring and is planning a career in social work.
