TACOMA, Wash., - The Lutes of Pacific Lutheran University beat the visiting Geoducks 55-45 Friday night in Olson Auditorium.

Pacific Lutheran (5-2 overall, 2-0 NWC) was paced Kezia Long who shot 7 of 11 from the field and scored 17 points. PLU shot 11 of 15 from the free throw line and shot 42% from the field.

Defensively the Lutes made it difficult for Evergreen to reach the basket as they forced 18 turnovers. The Lutes lead by as many as 16 points but the Geoducks battled back and kept it within in 10 points for the remainder of the game.

For the Geoducks Danielle Keenan scored 13 points on 4 of 14 shooting from the field and scored 5 rebounds. Jenny Olson scored 12 in the Geoducks loss.

Evergreen's record is 2-7 overall. They play Saturday night at home in a double header with the men's team as they host Northwest Christian College. Games begin at 5:30 PM
