Evergreen drops game to Seattle U 47-81
January 30, 2007
Seattle, WA - Last night's game saw all ten players from the Seattle University team score at least four points as their women's basketball team posted an 81-47 victory over Evergreen College Tuesday night at the Connolly Center.
The game, that was originally scheduled to be held on November 28th, was a make up due to the power outages experienced in the Puget Sound region during that time.
Seattle was able to utilize their team well, compiling 23 assists, which led to 61.5 percent shooting from the field. Seattle forced 17 turnovers and held the Geoducks to just 29.8 percent shooting for the game.
Evergreen (4-19) relied on Jennifer Solberg again to lead the Geoducks in scoring with 18 points and 6 rebounds to her credit. Molly Clark chipped in with 13 points and eight rebounds.
Laina Sobczak led Seattle in scoring with 14 points. Two other Redhawks scored in double figures with Payne scoring 13 points and Carly Fromdahl adding ten points.
Evergreen heads to Oregon this weekend, playing Concordia University on Friday and Corban College on Saturday. Both are 5:30 PM game times.
