Women's basketball ends losing streak of 3 games |

January 23, 2007 EUGENE, Oregon - Evergreen ended their three game losing streak after their convincing 57-46 win over Northwest Christian College at the Morse Event Center in Eugene. The Geoducks were led by Jennifer Solberg's 20 points (three-of-seven 3-pt shooting) and 12 rebound, while teammate Danielle Keenan added 16 points and grabbed six boards. Evergreen State was able to use 18 offensive rebounds and produce 15 second chance points. Evergreen played strong defense, holding NCC to one three point field goal (one of 19), a season low mark, and were limited to just twenty-nine percent from the field on the evening. The Geoducks shot thirty-six percent from the field and hit on five of fifteen attempts from beyond the arc. The Beacons were led by Emily Gray's 12 points and 12 boards and guard Amy Croll contributed 10 points and had two assists. Evergreen is at home for two Cascade Conference games this weekend. Friday they host Eastern Oregon University at 5:30 PM and Saturday playing Albertson College also at 5:30 PM. |
