Geoducks break streak with loss to Eagles

Kirkland, WA - The Evergreen State women (8-17 overall, 5-11 CCC) had a rough day on the road and added a 65-85 loss to the Northwest University Eagles (10-18 overall, 6-10 CCC).
The Eagles came out and snatched the lead from the beginning and hit the first half break leading 29-39. Coming out in the second, Northwest continued their reign and were able to convert 22 Geoduck turnovers into 32 points.
Evergreen seniors, Dalia Gomez and Rachel Ross led the Geoducks with 16 points, while Jenny Olson had the team high of eight rebounds. Six Eagles found their way into double digits, Rachel Travis leading the way with 16 points.
Evergreen is currently in eighth place, putting them in playoff position, next weekends games versus Cascade College and Warner Pacific will be crucial for the Geoduck's placement for playoffs.
The Geoducks have a bye tomorrow night, but will hit the road again next week as they travel to Portland next Friday, February 17, to take on Cascade College at 5:30 p.m.
