Geoducks find difficulty in Eastern Oregon

La Grande, OR - The Evergreen State women (5-16 overall, 3-9 CCC) were unable to add a win tonight in a 61-73 defeat by the Eastern Oregon Mountaineers (13-7 overall, 7-4 CCC).

The Geoducks held the first half at the break 29-27 but were unable to hold the lead as the second half continued. Turnovers were a key for Evergreen as Eastern scored 26 points compared to the Geoduck's nine from turnovers. Second chance points also hit Evergreen hard. The Clams only putting in five points while the Mountaineers claimed 16 points.

Three Geoducks found there way to double figures tonight. Jenny Olson led the squad with 18 points while Rachel Ross added 15 and Dalia Gomez put in 11. Danielle Keenan led Evergreen in rebounding with seven.

Evergreen will travel from Oregon to Idaho tomorrow the 28th as they are hosted by the Albertson Yotes at 5:30 p.m.
