Olson and Hyde Earn All-Conference Honors

Olympia, WA - Sophomore Jenny Olson and senior Heather Hyde were named to the Cascade Collegiate All-Conference team announced this past weekend. The two garnered recognition for their role in helping The Evergreen State College women's basketball team to its best season in history. The Geoducks won a program-best 16 games this season and made the post-season tournament for the second consecutive year.
Olson; a second-team pick from Loon Lake, Washington; was Evergreen's leading scorer averaging just under 13 points a game in conference play. The 5'-10" forward finished seventh in the conference on field-goal percentage shooting 0.442 on the year.
Hyde, who received honorable-mention recognition, finished the year as Evergreen's third-leading scorer and top rebounder, pulling down 5.6 boards per game. The Olympia, WA native was tenth in the conference in field-goal shooting percentage (.437), 12 th in assists (3.14), and seventh in turnover-assist ratio (1.15).
