Evergreen Streak Continues as Geoducks Down Albertson Geoducks tie school record for wins in a season

Caldwell, ID - Evergreen State forced 27 Albertson College turnovers, as the Geoducks won for the first time ever in the Treasure Valley, grinding out a 52-47 win in the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.

A 14-2 second half run built Evergreen (11-9, 6-4 CCC) a 43-32 lead with ten minutes left in the half, as the Geoducks tied a school record with their 11th victory of the season.

The Lady 'Yotes (11-11, 5-4) made a run late, cutting the margin to 48-45 inside the final minute on a pair of Kim Strunk free throws. However, Albertson turned the ball over twice and Evergreen canned 4-of-6 free throws for their fifth-straight win.

Kamrica Ary-Turner led Evergreen with 14 points, and Jenny Olson added twelve as the two youngsters continue to lead Evergreen in point production. The 'Yotes were led by the 12 of Valissa Sneck and the 11 of Hooter.

With the win Evergreen climbs to fourth place in Cascade Collegiate Conference standings. The Geoducks will take on second-place Eastern Oregon tomorrow night in La Grande, OR.
