Caldwell, ID - For 25 minutes on Friday evening the Geoducks (1-12 overall, 0-3 conference) hung tight with the Albertson Yotes (9-8 overall, 3-0 conference). But Evergreen's cold shooting in the second half allowed Albertson's to pull away and end the game with an 81-54 victory.

Albertson's jumped out to an early 10-point lead against Evergreen, but the Geoducks battled back. Led by Shiante Reed's (Tacoma, WA/ Foss HS) 12 first half points, the Geoducks took a two-point lead midway through the first half.

However, the Yotes went on a run to end the half and walked into the locker room with a 36-28 edge.

The second half started well for Evergreen when Alicia Riddle (Portland, OR/ Polytechnic HS) drained a three at the 18:49 mark, to cut the Yotes lead to 36-31.

The remainder of the game proved to be all Albertson's as they scored the next 17 points of the game, giving the Yotes a 22-point lead. The run finished the Geoducks and the Yotes ended with the victory.

Albertson's had four players score in double figures on the night. Heidi Goicoechea led the Yotes with 19 points on 7-13 shooting. Goicoechea also had seven rebounds for the game.

Kristin Bailey added 13 points (5-9), folowed by Dani Cotterell and Lindsey Karren who each chipped in 10 for the Yotes. Karren also grabbed a game high 12 rebounds.

The Geoducks lone scorer in double figures was Shiante Reed who had a game high 21 points on 10-17 shooting. Alicia Riddle added eight points and Toni Jones (Rock Springs, WY/ Rock Springs HS) scored seven for Evergreen in the loss.
