Mounties Rally Past Geoducks in Three Games

LA GRANDE, Ore. -- The Mountaineers eased past Evergreen State College, 25-10, 25-16, 25-16 at Eastern Oregon University tonight.

Each one of the Mountaineers saw playing time tonight as they were led by senior Grace Deboodt with 11 kills. Jessica Lea with 20 assists and Kaitlyn Duncan with nine digs.

The Geoducks were led by Jazzmin Garcia with seven kills, Chantal Petkus 12 assists and Ire Takahashi-Coker with eight digs.

ESC is still without designated setter Meghan De La Rosa.

As a team EOU had a hitting percentage of .438 compared to .044 of Evergreen and combined for 34 assists to the Geoducks 14.

Eastern now sits in fourth place at 5-3 in Cascade Conference play as Evergreen falls to 1-6.

Evergreen plays again on the road Saturday in a 7 PM (Mtn time) game at College of Idaho (12-1, 8-0 CCC).
